After building the Lot 5 house, we were ready for the next project. In 2018, we built our second home in the Woodland Foothills neighborhood—Lot 6.

This home was a bit bigger—1,080 square feet with an attached two-car garage—offering more space for families or anyone needing storage and a place to work. Like Lot 5, it was designed to be simple, durable, and practical. Clean lines, a smart layout, and modest finishes made it functional without driving up the cost.

Our goal wasn’t luxury—it was livability. We wanted to build something a local family could afford and feel comfortable in.

Once finished, Lot 6 was rented to local tenants before eventually being sold. Like Lot 5, it helped bridge the gap between renting and owning—something that’s hard to find in Cook County.

Projects like this aren’t flashy. They’re about making space where it’s needed. Lot 6 showed that with smart design and realistic planning, we can build homes that serve real community needs—even without grants or big profits.
